This event has passed.

Normally when I write press for Revolution Comedy it's in 3rd person to convey a sense of professionalism and objectivity, but I just can't do it this time. The humanity and suffering are too real.

Gay people of color were targeted by a maniac. You, me, our friends, our family and countless members of our community all share a massive sense of loss. While we grieve, politicians use our suffering to further hateful agendas and ignore practical solutions for the sake of profits.

So, let's get together and laugh in defiance of those who would rather see us ruined. Let's gather and raise money to help our community in Orlando, via www.oneorlando.org, which was recommended to me by the kind people at Planned Parenthood.

I've picked a queer and allied line up of hilarious NW comedians, both up-and-comers and seasoned vets. We are uniting to make you laugh, (which is the loudest of expression of love that is allowed in a public setting). Please join me (Andie Main) and my funny friends Nick Sahoyah, Barbara Holm, Nariko Ott, Whitney Streed, Caitlin Weierhauser and Susan Rice. We'll have a few surprises lined up as well.

All the details: Wednesday 7/6/16 at Siren Theater. 7:30 doors 8pm show. $10 in advance, $15 at the door. I am pretty sure this will sell out, so don't delay reserving your seats.

In addition to all funds raised from online ticket sales (outside of taxes and fees) going directly to OneOrlando, we are also accepting cash donations to pay Siren Theater's rent and our comedians who are donating their time for this cause.

We are hoping to sell enough seats to use the downstairs venue, which is wheelchair accessible. Please message me for updates if you require mobility assistance.

All ages are welcome, but R-Rated content is inevitable.

As your host, i will not be using any material that references the tragedy, and will also encourage the line-up to follow suit. We only want to make you laugh, and promote a safe place to heal.

Can't wait to see you, Portland. You are vital and loved.
