FEMME TOP

Fri, Jun 23, 2017 at 9pm

This event has passed.

Bring your softness, bring your edges and let us revel in ourselves and that which is femme. We have a sickening line-up of djs and local talent to bring you something so special during Portland black pride. It is our pleasure to also have Sankofa Collective Northwest represented and have the night double as a benefit for their organization and the fantastic work that they do for our community. Your dollars are going right into the hands of your queer community of color, this is how we strengthen our communities that need it most. DON’T sleep on this, DO turn a LOOK. Prepare to sweat about it bih

Performances by:

House of Ada.

House of ADA (Latin for Fairy) was spontaneously established at one of Portland Oregon's first ball, where original funding members: Brittany DeLano, Nicholas Petrich and Daniel Girón took home their own individual trophy (Love Ball 2014). Instantly making them the top contenders in the Northwest Ballroom scene. Over the years, current father and mother, Daniel Girón and Paula Metzler have taken leadership roles, cultivating a strong well rounded group, along with helping mentor and mold other voguers who have gone on to become house leaders in their own right. ADA's strength such as performance quality and dynamic sex appeal showcase through performances, battles and clubs as they continue to raise the bar for other local houses. When the Northwest ballroom scene recognizes strong local Vogue performers, The House of ADA is a staple as a pioneer and trailblazer, always setting an example as teachers, entertainers and students.

House of Aquarius:

A family of creators weaving and sharing their stories together through ritual, performance and dance.
