SLOW CORPSE
Slow Corpse is the brain child of singer/producer Mitchell Winters and Brenton Clarke. Born out of the misty forests in Southern Oregon in the fall of 2015, Slow Corpse has quickly risen into prominence in the Oregon indie rock scene. Following the release of their debut EP's, Hound and Moons, Slow Corpse have taken to the road, playing shows up and down the North West region of the US which they pay tribute to in their layered dark, folk sound.

Layering distorted keys and guitar, sweeping violins, and a thunderous rhythm section, the band sculpts a wall of sound praised for its intoxicating melodies and grandiose arrangements. Led by vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Chris Ward, Yaquina Bay speaks of heartbreak and joy, permanence and instability. It is a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh, familiar and new.

“Take Me Dancing” is love song perfection. It’s like we have been transported back in time to a jukebox bar in a 1950s/1960s era romance film, and–suffice it to say–we are totally in love. The song has an incredibly vintage–almost purely vinyl–feel to it, the first notes delivered as if we just set the needle on to spin the track. Then come the vocals, which are deep and alluring, swoon-worthy, and lovely on a whole other level, characteristic of our dear friend DoublePlusGood.
