"For a while now, Charts has been one of Portland’s more underrated bands, playing tight, garage-pop flecked with surfy guitar, ‘50s rock elements and pronounced melodic smarts without coming across like mere retro pastiche. Its 2013 EP, Vacation, contained a few great prom ballads, but “Fade Away,” the first single off its upcoming debut full-length, is a hip-swiveling beach-party jam, sounding something like Franz Ferdinand transposed to the West Coast. Charts is slated for release in late April." (MS), Willamette Week
Hawkeye is a Portland based band whose influences are a mix of Indie pop, post Punk, Twee, Brit pop, Bedroom pop, psych, and all sorts of stuff.
Hawkeye's newest album "Valentine 13 Again" comes to life September 29th.
Motorcoat is a Portland based trio whose members met in Bellingham while attending college. Having played in various bands together in Bellingham, the three picked up and left town after graduating, and moved to Portland with the Motorcoat project in the forefront of their minds. They have all been living in Portland since July 2014, and after a rocky start, have since set up everything they need to record themselves in their basement. With their debut EP "Dame Dynamite" and their new EP "Turn Windlass, Wear Away" out now, they’re on a mission to give an experience that impacts the ears as well as the heart.
