Mr. Elevator
Los Angeles outfit Mr. Elevator and the Brain Hotel take their name from a Donovan lyric, and their melding of '60s psych-pop and contemporary lo-fi underground made them a natural fit for California D.I.Y. empire Burger Records, who signed them in 2013. Their debut album, Nico and Her Psychedelic Subconscious, pitted trippy organ-led jams against tuneful pop in a way similar to '60s-referencing West Coast acts like Foxygen and the Allah-Las.

Camera
Hailing from Berlin, the three-piece Krautrock band Camera is considered to be a group that wears its influences proudly on its sleeve. After being championed by Michael Rother, the trio supported the former Neu! legend on his tour; Rother later invited them to perform a joint show with him and Dieter Moebius. With a reputation for staging guerilla gigs across their native Berlin, they quickly became regarded as an anti-establishment outfit, recalling the spirit of their Krautrock influences.
