FIST AND SHOUT
Hosted by Marita De Leon and El Sanchez
Debuting in October of 2016, Fist & Shout was a QTPOC-centered comedy/variety show full of Queer, Trans and Gender Non-Conforming performers who helped us all laugh our way through oppression via stand-up, music, sketch comedy and other surprises! Co-hosted and co-produced by Queer POC comedians/performers/besties/babes, El Sanchez (Bumbershoot, Autostraddle, NPR's Latino USA, City Arts Magazine Future List 2016) and Marita DeLeon (Intersect Fest, Out & In, Gay City presents Queerz: We're Hilarious)! Apropos of the magical queer crystals that El and Marita are, F&S came to audiences from the mystical Jewelbox Theater in Belltown's Rendezvous every second Wednesday of the month until 2017 when the show came to a still indefinite hiatus due to dramatic queertypical life changes by our very own co-hosts (El moved to Olympia and Marita moved to Portland)!
