BAE BAE (she/they) is an LA-based DJ/producer, organizer, and sound artist whose work has become central to the city’s
underground music ecosystem. An LA native, she has risen to prominence by organizing innovative communal spaces,
including the infamous underground party HOOD RAVE, which has become a vital gathering point for the city’s nightlife.
Driven by a commitment to creating liberatory dance music spaces for femme and queer Black and brown folks, BAE
BAE’s DJ mixes move fluidly through ghetto house and techno, footwork, jungle, bass, and beyond, with her lifelong love
of R&B always close to the surface. Her intuitive approach, wide-ranging taste, and emotionally charged sound are
designed to move both bodies and feelings.
As a DJ, BAE BAE’s selections uplift Black electronic music and femme voices, while her own productions, slick bootleg
edits, and shape-shifting remixes have become club essentials. Her original work has been praised by DJ Mag, Resident
Advisor, Tidal, Telekom Electronic Beats, and broadcasters such as Joy Orbison on BBC Radio, while her mixes have
landed on “best of” lists from Pitchfork and Crack Magazine.
