COLLABOWRITE: WATCH THE STORY SAUSAGE GET MADE.

Ever want to be present and only slightly involved in the creation of a piece of art, so that if it sucks, you're just barely responsible?

Then collabowrite is the event for you! Two writers - the brilliant NYTimes bestselling author and Marvel comic book creator Chelsea Cain and former Live Wire Head Writer Courtenay Hameister will each write the first five pages of a short two-act play. Some of Portland's best improvisers will do a staged reading of the work, and then finish the first act off-the-cuff, with a little help from YOU.

The writers then scramble during intermission to write the final beats of the two-act, then attempt to direct the actors to do their bidding. There will be penalties, backsies, the ego tussles that always happen during collaborations, and at least one person storming offstage either because it's in the script or they're a big baby.
