Minority Retort presents: Mateen Stewart!

 Minority Retort, the NW’s premier stand-up comedy showcase featuring Black and brown comedians, and The Siren Theater are pleased to welcome back comedian Mateen Stewart!

Mateen Stewart is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Mateen has performed stand-up comedy at numerous clubs and colleges. He’s a regular at The World Famous Laugh Factory, and The Improv where he hosts his weekly show “ Late for Work”. He has also appeared on television shows such as Coming to the Stage, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and HBO’s Funny or Die Presents.

Mateen is known for his energetic and engaging performances, as well as his ability to connect with audiences through his personal stories and unique perspective. He has been praised for his sharp writing and delivery, as well as his ability to tackle difficult topics with humor and sensitivity.

Mateen continues to write act in Los Angeles and perform stand-up comedy around the country. He has participated festivals such as SF Sketchfest, Treefort Music Festival, SLC Comedy Carnivale, Women in Comedy Festival and the San Diego Comedy Festival. He is considered one of the rising stars in the comedy world and is known for his hard work and dedication to his craft.

Joining Mateen on the show will be the hilarious Imani Denae, Martin Morrow and host Neeraj Srinivasan!
