A Really Bad Time with Alex Kumin (Comedy Central, TimeOut USA Comic to Watch, NBC) is a darkly funny, unexpectedly warm solo show about surviving the kinds of things people don’t usually bring up in polite conversation: cancer and sexual trauma*! With sharp jokes and honest storytelling, she unpacks our innate need for connection, the insidiousness of shame, and what it’s like to navigate a U.S. healthcare system that often feels more surreal than supportive.

It’s a show about connection—how we talk about hard things, avoid them, and sometimes find each other anyway. Equal parts irreverent and heartfelt, you will laugh, you might cry and you’ll definitely leave feeling a little less alone. With jokes, stories, and a suspicious amount of charm, Alex turns life’s darkest material into something communal, cathartic, and genuinely hilarious.

*She promises you will laugh. For real.

Stick around afterwards for a brief Q&A with Alex to give her real-time reactions and feedback!
